The Metro District was represented by two teams on a national stage as part of the Operations Challenge at the Water Environment Federation Technical Exhibition and Conference 2016. The Elevated Ops and the Metro Bravo teams both qualified during the regional competition sponsored by the Rocky Mountain Water Environment Association. The Elevated Ops placed first in Division II during the national competition held in New Orleans in late September 2016.
