    Procurement Overview

The Purchasing Division provides support to the six Metro District departments in a centralized purchasing system for equipment, materials, supplies, and services, at the lowest possible cost through competitive bidding and efficient procurement practices.

The Purchasing Division also manages the Metro District’s warehoused materials and supplies, as well as the processing of its recyclable, obsolete, surplus and scrap materials.

Who Can Sell to the Metro District

Any responsible firm which can supply quality materials, equipment, and services at competitive prices while meeting the Metro District's minimum specifications and delivery requirements is eligible to sell to the District.

Sellers are encouraged to visit the Metro District Purchasing offices. Buyers will explain the purchasing process and will answer any questions. Visits are by appointment only and may be arranged by calling the Purchasing Office at (303) 286-3000. Purchasing Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. For a list of buyers, see Purchasing Staff.
