EMS for Biosolids Certification
 On July 31, 2005, the Metro Wastewater Reclamation District became the 8th wastewater treatment agency in the U.S. to earn certification for its Environmental Management System for Biosolids from the National Biosolids Partnership. Certification is based on an independent third party audit of the program and certification that the Metro District has, in fact, met all the criteria for certification as set forth by the National Biosolids Partnership.
