Beneficial Use of METROGRO™ Biosolids

Research performed over the last 40 years by various government agencies from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Agriculture to the Colorado Agricultural Experiment Station, and by major universities around the world, has found biosolids are a good source of macro- and micro-nutrients and soil amendment.

Beneficial Use of METROGRO™ Cake

At the METROGRO Farm and on private farmland, METROGRO™ Cake is used as fertilizers and as a soil conditioners, and provides the following benefits:

Organic Matter

an excellent soil conditioner
provides the nutrients necessary for microbial activity in soils
make nutrients available to plants
improves soil structure, creating spaces for air and water
surface runoff is reduced on clay soils
water percolation is slowed in sandy soils
erodable soils are stabilized
